|Coach Hall Joins Peaks Coaching Group|

Cycling coach Tim Hall is pleased to announce he has joined the renowned Peaks Coaching Group led by Hunter Allen.Peaks Coaching Group was founded by Hunter in 1996 and is highly regarded for being the leading experts on training with a power meter. Hunter co-authored the pre-eminent book on power training “Training and Racing with a Power Meter” along with Dr. Andrew R. Coggan. Hunter also co-founded TrainingPeaks and developed WKO, the software standard in power analysis. Based out of Bedford, VA, the company works with athletes ranging from recreational riders to Olympians, and employs over 45 coaches throughout the world.
“I am very excited to announce that Tim is joining us here at Peaks Coaching Group. Our coaches are each hand selected by me, and Tim demonstrated an excellent knowledge of power training, along with all the coaching qualities that we want in our coaches. I look forward to working with him and his clients in order to achieve an even higher level of success for them,” said Hunter Allen, himself a former professional cyclist.

It is a dream come true to work closely with him and his outstanding coaches,” says Coach Hall. Peaks Coaching Group provides an intense six-week training program that Hall will complete this fall. The company matches the athlete with the coach that best fits their needs and goals, which may result in Hall coaching riders from all across the US and overseas.
“I have had the pleasure of attending multiple presentations by several different coaches from Peaks Coaching Group. Each time I have walked away thoroughly impressed with their knowledge of all aspects related to cycling. This will no doubt elevate my coaching ability to another level and allow me to better serve all my clients,” said Hall.
Coach Hall has been the head cycling coach at Cumberland University since the fall of 2005, and he will continue to lead that program full-time. Hall has built Cumberland’s varsity program into one of the top Division 2 teams in USA Cycling Collegiate. Cumberland competes in mountain, track, cyclocross, road and BMX. Hall has taken Cumberland to 17 total national championship events; five times finishing on the team omnium podium. Cumberland finished the season ranked #4 overall in 2011 and #2 in 2012. Cumberland was recently awarded Division I status for 2012/2013.
Coach Hall started riding a bicycle recreationally in 1998, and soon began road racing in 2000. Since then he has competed in over 500 races ranging from local and state events to Pro/1 NRC/USA Crits, Elite Road and Cyclocross Nationals, Masters Road and Cyclocross Nationals, as well as Masters Worlds Cyclocross. Coach Hall competes as a Category 1 on the road, Category 2 in cyclocross and mountain, and Category 4 on the track. He has been a Level 2 USA Cycling certified coach since 2005, and has attended the Level 1 and power certification clinics.
