Hammerfest training is the next best thing to replace the crit series. The first date will be June 6th, so click here for details.
There will be three dates for the summer Hammerfest training series; all on Wednesdays: June 6th, July 4th and July 11th. Each ride will start from the entrance to Percy Warner Park at the end of Belle Meade Boulevard. The roll out time on June 6th and July 11th will be 6:00 PM sharp, but on July 4th it will be a 9:00 AM start (early morning fireworks!).
We do recommend you be ready to ride hard with many sections at race pace. These are meant for riders already possessing race experience, so if you're new to cycling or have not raced then we do not recommend attending. The ride time is approximately two hours and close to 40 miles in length. Our rain policy is to check the radar and use common sense.
For those brave enough to endure the suffering, this is not a go hard and leave everyone behind ride. There will be key points on the route where we will regroup after the harder efforts. We will all have a more rewarding and safer training ride the more we stick together as a group. Remember Goal # 1 - everybody gets home safely.
