This Wednesday, July 6th is our special Endeavor Performance Ladies Night at the Gateway Tire & Service Criterium Race Series.  All ladies on two wheels are invited to join us to learn all they can about bicycle racing.

We know there are many women who enjoy riding for local clubs in metrics and centuries who have wondered what racing is all about.  Well now is your chance to find out!  There will be current racing women there to share their experience and knowledge.  It will be a great time to ask questions about what it is like to compete and how to overcome the nervousness and fear of competition.  We do not expect you to become a converted competitor overnight, but we do hope you will at least come out to enjoy the fellowship at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans.

The evening will kick off with a women only skills clinic at 4:45 PM led by Coach Todd Nordmeyer of Endeavor Performance.  This 30 minute skills clinic will cover the basics of pack riding in a criterium as well as cornering at speed.  There will be a Women Category 4 race following the clinic at 5:30 PM.  All beginner racing Women start at the Category 4 level, so you can be assured those you are racing with are new to the sport as well.

The clinic and the race are FREE, but all ladies will have to sign a release form and/or one-day license if you do not have an annual USA Cycling racing license.  Please arrive early to sign up for the clinic and race!

Local teams Cumberland Transit Cycling, Team Belladium and SVMIC Cycling will have tents and tables set up to meet and greet ladies.  Nashville is fortunate to have three very good women teams regularly racing, and all three are eager to teach and encourage other women to enter racing.  Women racers in our area are a very tight knit group and are very supportive of one another.  Each team will be doing some unique things to make it fun by providing drinks, baked goods, giveaways, and short clinics on how to change a flat, etc.

Whether you do the clinic or race or not, either way come on out and enjoy the fun - just be sure to bring your bicycle and a helmet!  Please visit this link to read all the details about time, date, location and rules - event race flyer HERE.
