Race #3 of the Gateway Tire & Service Criterium Race Series is a special night with our Endeavor Performance Beginner Clinic as well as Masters 35+ racing!

This Wednesday, June 1st promises to be a special evening as we offer a beginner clinic to newcomers and less experienced bicyclists to criterium racing at LP Field.  Coach Todd Nordmeyer of Endeavor Performance and Coach Tim Hall of Cumberland University & NashvilleCyclist.com will tag team their coaching skills to teach the basics of criterium racing.  Coach Nordmeyer and Hall have a combined 30+ years in the sport of cycling.

The goal of the beginner clinic is for riders to gain skills and confidence to begin regularly racing in the summer criterium series.  The clinic is free and begins at 4:45 PM.

Attendees can expect Coach Nordmeyer and Hall to discuss and demonstrate the following topics:

How to properly hold your line in a pack of riders to ensure safety and speed efficiency.
The proper technique to corner at speed along with the basics of cornering strategy.
The mental side of criterium racing; how to relax and remain mentally stress free.
Understanding physical demands and training tips to become a good criterium racer.

If you are planning to attend the clinic we ask a couple of favors: 1) please pre-register for free at PreRace.com, 2) arrive early to sign release forms.  We will have our registration table ready to go by 4:15 PM at the latest.

Save time & pre-register online at PreRace.com – Go HERE

Attending the clinic does require either a USA Cycling annual license or a one-day license, and you must sign a release form.  If you do not have an annual license then your one-day license is FREE for June 1st only.  However, if you want to race the Category 5 race at 5:30 PM that fee is $15.  Either way, save time and pre-reg on PreRace.com.

Another fun feature for Race #3 is we have a Masters 35+ race (Cat 1-4) at 6:35 PM that lasts for 30 minutes.  The Masters race gives those 35+ age Cat 4 and Pro/1/2/3 riders an opportunity to double up by paying only $10 for the second race.  Riders may use the same number for the Masters race as they use for their regular category.
