The final race of the 2010 crit series could not have been more perfect - beautiful cool weather, a huge crowd watching, free delicious Whitt's BBQ, and with 117 total racers it meant our largest number ever on a Wednesday night! All three men events had well over 30 in each field while the women topped out at 17. The large fields provided the most aggressive racing along with the highest average speeds we have seen all series. Breakaways had no chance at survival as the hungry fields showcased their strength to keep it to a field sprint.

We hope everyone enjoyed the final night of racing as well as the podium presentation afterwards. Congratulations to all the riders who finished the overall series on the podium; you all absolutely earned those championship title belts and tiara. It is a huge accomplishment to be the one standing on top after eleven hard fought races.

It is also safe to say the 2010 series significantly raised the bar of expectations. We had greater sponsorship support, tremendous field size growth, improved atmospherics, and an overall attitude of providing ourselves with a positive experience beyond racing for fitness. The eleven race series averaged 108 riders each week as 1,192 total participants pinned on a number. This success dwarfs 2009's average of 70 riders for nine races, but more amazingly we increased total participation by a whopping 89%!

I cannot say thank you enough to each and every racer, as well as friends and family members of the racers. Your support and positive energy is my jet fuel to keep on keeping on!
